James Murph

He was born September 10, 1940 at Marshall, Texas son of Willie A. and Ora Harper Murph. He married Betty Housdan on December 16, 1983 at Marshall Texas. Lt. Murph was Patrol Commander for the Mountain Home Police Department, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He also enjoyed fishing and boating. He was a member of the Marshall, Texas Masonic Lodge and a 32nd Degree Mason. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and he was of the Protestant faith. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Betty Murph of Mountain Home, a brother, Charles Murph of Marshall, Texas, one niece, Mary Ellen Hudec and husband John of Tampa, Florida, nephew, Eddy Murph of Houston, Texas and a great nephew, Jack Hudec of Tampa, Florida. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral: Memorial service for Lt. James A. Murph will be Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Sam Seamans & Mr. John Montgomery officiating. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks or the American Cancer Society. Honorary Bearers: Mountain Home Police Department
