A Funeral Service for James Alvie Parrish of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 22, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Ron Childress officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home. Military Honors will be provided by Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the U.S. Army Honor Guards.
James passed away May 20, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 68. He was born March 2, 1947, in Monette, Arkansas, the son of Firest and Bertha Henderson Parrish. He worked as a machine operator for Micro-Plastics. James was a U.S. Army Veteran and lived in Mountain Home since 2006, moving from Bay, Arkansas. He had been with his fiancée, Gloria Bautista, since 2011, and enjoyed fishing, gardening and canning.
James is survived by his fiancée, Gloria Bautista of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Brenda Kennedy of Trumann, AR and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene, Bobby and William and sister, Marcella.
Inurnment will be in the Maceys Cemetery, Monette, Arkansas at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Asian-American Organization.
