James Martin Perdue was born January 8, 1945 in Chaffee, Misouri to Catus and Jean Perdue. He grew up and went to school in Oran, Missouri. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He then moved to Midway, Arkansas with his late wife, Sarah Lynn Perdue. There he worked and retired as a fishing guide for Gaston's Guided Fishing. He and Sarah had a blast owning and operating Twin Lakes Speedway. Jim enjoyed life with Sarah and watching the wildlife at their log cabin home in the country.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Kelly and Jeanna; sons, Jimmy and Shane; sisters, Cathy and Rebecca; four grandchildren, Jamie, Jenny, Michael, and Stacy; and six great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Jailynn, Braylin, Liam, Emma, and Lily.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lynn Perdue; 11 siblings; and grandson, Brandon.
