Services for James S. Pinkerton of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private.
James passed away July 25, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 83. He was born December 21, 1929, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the son of Carl and Mable Shanklin Pinkerton. He married Carolyn Kensinger on March 26, 1953, at Indianapolis, Indiana and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Chrysler Corporation. James was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and a Mason. He was active in the Corp of Engineering for river safety and enjoyed golfing, fly fishing, hunting and traveling. James lived in Mountain Home since 1997, moving from Grayling, Michigan.
James is survived by his two daughters, Pam (Gene) Cygal of Mountain View, MO and Teri (John) Stieg of Templeton, CA, four grandchildren, Jaime Cygal of Mountain View, MO, Jennie (Jim) Voorhees of Brea, CA, Johnny Stieg of Santa Barbara, CA and Krissie Stieg of Santa Barbara, CA and one great-grandchild, Jimmy Voorhees of Brea, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Edward.
