James Edward Swadley was born November 19, 1944 at Gassville, Arkansas to William Edward and Pearl Foster Swadley. He married Linda Harrington on June 14, 1967 at Gassville and worked as a union brick mason. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Riverside Church of Christ. He loved to fish and play his guitar. Survivors: James Edward Swadley is survived by his wife Linda Swadley of Mountain Home; one son, Kevin Edward Swadley of New Haven, Indiana; one daughter, Melissa Rene Clark of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Kimberly and Kyle Clark, Nathan Chaney, Kip and Jacob Swadley; one brother, Bill (Carla) Swadley of Mountain Home; four sisters, Ruth Lewis of Myron, Arkansas; Fannie (Rex) Kasinger of Gassville; Carol (Cecil) Winnett of Myron; and Bonnie Reed of Gassville; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 1. Funeral: Funeral Services for James Edward Swadley of Mountain Home will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2 in Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Jordan officiating. Burial: Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Buford. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Riverside Church of Christ.
