Memorial Services for James L. Vonesh, 94, of Lakeview, Arkansas, will be 10AM Thursday August 11.2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel - Bull Shoals, with Pastor David Mattson officiating. James died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center. He was born October 26, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of James and Clara Reich Vonesh. James was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Jim married his beloved Josephine ?Joey? Serama on January 24, 1980. He worked as a Machinist for Sherwin Williams for 43 years before moving to Lakeview, Arkansas in 1987 from Tinley Park, Illinois. Jim was charter member of the Chicago Falcons Motorcycle Club and the Lasalle Brittany Club as a trainer of Brittany and Springer Spaniels. He loved to travel, dance the Charleston and chase the ladies. James is survived by 1 son, James R. (Joan) Vonesh of Joliet, Illinois; 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth Vonesh of Chicago, IL and Hilary (Rhett) Daniel of Manhattan, IL; 1 great-grandchild, Heather Daniel; 2 nieces and nephews, Sandra Koch of Sarasota, FL and Eleanor (Len) Charchut of MI, Thomas (Denise) Johnson and Pamela (John) Ingraham and his caretaker and loving companion, Tammy Spears of Gassville, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, Jeanne and Josephine, 1 brother and 1 sister. Memorials may be made to the Marion County Senior Center.
