A Gathering of Friends and Family for James Argus Voyles of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:00 until 3:00 pm, Friday, November 10, 2017, in the Stateroom at Emerson Funeral Home, Jonesboro, Arkansas. In honor of Jim, orange clothing would be most appropriate for this gathering.
Jim passed away November 5, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 65. He was born February 19, 1952, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of Argus and Wanda Morrison Voyles. He married Ellen Partney on December 2, 1972, in Salesville, Arkansas and worked as a General Operations Manager for City Water and Light in Jonesboro, AR. Jim lived in Mountain Home for four years, moving from Powhatan, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his god grandson and family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Ellen Voyles of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Ken (Tracey) Voyles of Powhatan, AR; sister, Judy (Terry) Brooks of Alpine, AZ; god grandson, Keric Hoffman of Powhatan, AR and two god daughters, Cherish Wellman of Little Rock, AR and Natalie Hoffman of Powhatan, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Timothy James Voyles and Joshua Denton Voyles.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to John 3:16 Ministries, 75 Holmes Road, Charlotte, AR 72522.
