A Gathering of Friends for James Arthur Wallin of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Alley-White American Legion Post #52, with Military Honors.
James passed away May 16, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 82. He was born August 30, 1934, in Seneca, Wisconsin, the son of Charles and Marion Horal Wallin. He married Mary O'Brien on September 28, 1990, in Urbana, Illinois and worked as an Industrial Engineer for Caradco. James was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. James lived in Mountain Home since 1997, moving from Rantoul, Illinois. He was a past Post Commander (2000-2001) and member of the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed working the pancake breakfasts.
James is survived by his wife, Mary Wallin of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Joseph (Susan) Wallin of Rantoul, IL and James Wallin of Danville, IL; one daughter, Jean M. (Richard) Hankins of O'Fallen, IL; a brother, Robert Wallin; two sisters, Norma Wagner and Wilma (Clinton) Smith; four grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Fred and one grandson, Brandon.
Burial will be in the Campbell Cemetery, Eastman, Wisconsin.
