Jim Wooley died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 63. He was born Sunday, March 25, 1945 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, son of Virgil and Mary Louise Gardner Wooley. He married Betty Fratesi on December 30, 1967 at Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Jim worked for the International Paper Co. and retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal as a Quality Control Inspector. Jim Wooley was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam and lived in Midway since 1996 moving from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and the Rivercliff Golf Club. Survivors: Jim Wooley is survived by his wife, Betty Wooley, 1 son, Randy (Shannon) Wooley of Little Rock, Arkansas, 2 grandsons, Andrew and Michael Wooley, 1 granddaughter, Olivia Wooley, 2 sisters, Dorothy (Carr Lee) Chambers of Glendale, Arkansas and Donna Bray of Missouri. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, December 26 with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral Mass for James Virgil "Jim" Wooley of Midway, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend James Fanrak officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
