A Funeral Service for James Lloyd Yancey of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 10, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Howse officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. James passed away December 7, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 69. He was born November 10, 1943, in Rector, Arkansas, the son of Charlie and Gladys Reynolds Yancey. He married Peggy Smith on March 18, 1977, at Peoria, Illinois, and spent 30 years at Caterpillar Inc. James lived in Mountain Home, since 1994, moving from East Peoria, Illinois. He was a member of the Bar None Cowboy Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, working in the shed, and being outside. James rebuilt a 1930 Model A engine. He also had his own lawn care service.. James is survived by his wife, Peggy Yancey of Mountain Home, AR, son, William (Deanna Maciejewski) Buttrum of Mountain Home, AR, daughter, Lori (Lee) Enders of Vianna, IL, three grandchildren, Melissa Gaul of Washington, IL, Adam Buttrum of Mountain Home, AR, and Tammy Jo McGowen of Vianna, IL, four great-grandchildren, Jessica Gaul of Washington, IL, Abbigail Buttrum of Mena, AR, Kirsten Watters of Mena, AR, and Alli McGowen of Vianna, IL, brother, Carol (Sandra) Yancey of Creve Coeur, IL, and sister, Glenda (J.H.) Adams of East Peoria, IL., several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Doyn Yancey. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike McWilliams, Jim Morgan, Charlie Love, Jon Parrish, Bill Chadwick, and Dale Parrish. Memorials may be made to Bar None Cowboy Church or Hospice of the Ozarks.
