Jamie Lynn McGuire, 65, passed away at her home on March 5, 2024, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born on October 15, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jamie led a remarkable life filled with hard work, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family and career.
Jamie's journey was one of resilience and determination. Jamie married Eric V. Holt on January 17, 1976 in Costa Mesa, CA, their 20 year union blessed them with 4 children, Tanya, Deric, Dustin, and Erika. Known for her warped sense of humor that never failed to bring smiles to those around her. Jamie was a devoted mother with a strong work ethic, she held three jobs simultaneously at one point to provide for her children. Starting as an EMT and waitress before pursuing higher education, Jamie eventually became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Her passion for nursing led her to serve as a traveling nurse, positively impacting countless lives wherever she went. She continued her dedicated service at Gassville Therapy Living and the Arkansas State Hospital. She later married Ward McGuire on November 2, 1996, adding 3 children to the family. Jamie affectionately referred to the family as the The Bradey Bunch.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jamie found joy in simple pleasures. She had a deep love for animals, particularly corgis, border collies, and horses. Jamie especially loved her bird, Pepe. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to humans but also to the furry friends who were lucky enough to be under her care.
As we mourn the loss of Jamie Lynn McGuire from our earthly realm, we take solace in the memories she created and the lives she touched.
