Services will be private for Janis Ann Cooper of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Janis passed away September 7, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 61. She was born June 25, 1951, in Ft. Devins, Massachusetts, the daughter of Joseph and Betty Lewis Grisco. She married Jim Cooper on March 14, 1994, at Mountain Home, AR and worked as a Medical Records Analyst. Janis lived in Mountain Home since 1992, moving from Monrovia, CA. Before her illness, Janis enjoyed working at the hospital, breeding and caring for her horses, fishing and spending lots of time with her family. She enjoyed her volunteer work and her membership at the Emmanuel Church. Special thanks to the people at Emmanuel for their prayers and meals. The family gives thanks for the wonderful care given to her by her daughter, Pamela, and the special hospice nurse, Vicki Nearn. Our family thanks Dr. Lance Lincoln for his many years of care for her and her family. God Bless each and every friend and loved one who cared and prayed for her. Janis leaves behind her husband of 18 years, James H. Cooper, of Mountain Home; her parents, Betty and Joseph Grisco, of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Pamela Ann (Nick) Farrar, of Parkersburg, West Virginia; brother, Robert (Cindy) Ferguson of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Melissa DeBaker, of Lompoc, CA; her three beloved grandchildren, Elijah, Ian and Hannah, of Parkersburg, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews, Tanya (James) Mercado, of Bull Shoals, AR, Bobby Ferguson, of Monrovia, CA, Joe Perry Martin, of Lompoc, CA, and Renee Wyatt, of Mountain Home, AR. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth "Tyke" Grisco; grandparents, Lillian and William Mooney and Donnie and Jim Ferguson.
