A Graveside Funeral Service for Jay McEndree of Branson, Missouri, formerly of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Monday, November 19, 2018, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor George Granberry officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the United States Army Honor Guards.
Jay passed away November 16, 2018, in Forsyth, Missouri at the age of 86. He was born June 27, 1932, in Zion, Arkansas, the son of James and Edith Matney McEndree. He married Shirley Helm on November 3, 1953, in Salem, Arkansas, and was a supervisor for Boeing Aircraft. Jay was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Jay and Shirley lived in Mountain Home since they moved from Wichita, Kansas in 1988. Jay moved to Branson after Shirley passed away, to be closer to his daughter. He was a member of the East Side Baptist Church and he enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Jay is survived by his three daughters, Debbie and Jay Thomas of Edmond, OK, Vicki and George Granberry of Wichita, KS, and Julie and Greg Baker of Branson, MO; and six grandchildren, Michelle (Justin) Clark of McPherson, KS, Jason Thomas of Durant, OK, Stephanie (Gustavo) Formenti of Chattanooga, TN, Stephen (Ashley) Granberry of Wichita, KS, Jennifer Baker of Springfield, MO, and Matthew Baker of Branson, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and an infant daughter.
