Jean Powell Kalemba

Jean Powell Kalemba of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away April 8, 2023, in Bull Shoals, AR at the age of 94. She was born November 3, 1928, in Buffalo, New York. She worked as a Secretary for AT Murphy Commodities Broker. Jean lived in Bull Shoals since moving from Lake Zurich, IL, in 2007. She was a great cook and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home, AR.

Jean is survived by her son, Bruce Powell of Bull Shoals, AR; granddaughters, Laura Borak and Christine (Leon) Marmol of Illinois and great-grandchildren, Rudy and Lukas Marmol.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Powell and Chester Kalemba.

A Funeral Service for Jean will be 11AM Wednesday, April 12 2023 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals with Celebrant Heather Marsalis officiating. Family will receive friends from 10-11AM.
