A Memorial Service for Jean Lorraine Nielsen, 91, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Marillyn Schultz officiating.
Jean passed away April 16, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born September 28, 1921, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Violet Nelson Hedberg. She married George Nielsen on November 22, 1940, at Minneapolis, Minnesota and was a homemaker and mother. Jean lived in Mountain Home since 1997, moving from Orange City, Florida. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed dancing, scrap booking, archery when younger and Air Stream camping.
Jean is survived by her two daughters, Judy Brademann of Mountain Home, AR and Deb Davis of Maple Grove, MN, one son, Don (Ava) Nielsen of Plymouth, MN; six grandchildren, Tami VanBrocklin of Plymouth, MN, Penny (Gordy) Lambrecht of Springfield, MO, Lisa (Matt) Onnen of Monticello, MN, Laura (Brett) Byer of St. Michael, MN, Drew (Claire) Nielsen of Plymouth, MN and Dane Nielsen of Plymouth, MN, nine great-grandchildren, Joey and Mindy Nault, Victoria Schwartz, Matthew and Ricky Onnen, Dylan and Ryan Byer and Abbey and Tyler Nielsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Randy Brademann; granddaughter, Wendi Brademann and sister, Marilyn Miller.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the Pietz Cancer Support House.
