A Graveside Memorial Service for Jean V. Reeves of Bull Shoals, AR will be 11:00 AM May 2, 2011 at Newton Flat Cemetery in Bull Shoals, AR with Reverend Fred Taylor officiating. Jean passed away March 4, 2011 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center in Flippin, Arkansas. She was 95.
Jean was born July 15, 1915 to John and Lida Robertson Vath at Keokuk, Iowa. She married John "Jack" reeves June 15, 1940 at Keokuk, Iowa. Jean worked as a secretary to the principles of the Keokuk, Iowa Public School System. She was a hosital volunteer and belonged to a number of women's organizations. Jean was an avid bridge player and enjoyed bowling.
Jean is survived by two sons, Roger Reeves of Indianapolis, IN and Thomas Reeves of Bull Shoals, AR; three grandchildren, Keather Hawkins (David) of Columbus, OH, David Reeves (Krista) of Seattle, WA and Damon reeves (Karla) of Tecumsah, MI; six great-grandchildren and nephew, Larry Vath (Irene) of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Bull Shoals-Lakeview Rotary Club Vocational Scholarship Fund.
