Visitation for Jean Eleanor Rompala of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at the Park Side Funeral Home, Chicago, Illinois and a Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11:30 am at the St. Daniel's The Prophet Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois..
Jean passed away December 17, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90. She was born April 30, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John and Catherine Pyzik. She married Walter Rompala on March 2, 1946, was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and bingo. Jean lived in Mountain Home since 1976, moving from Burbank, Illinois. She attended St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and was a member the Ozark V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #3246.
Jean is survived by her five daughters, Renetta Wheeless of Mountain Home, AR, Corrine (Charles) Tripamer of Romeoville, IL, Jennifer Trail of Midway, AR, Gayle Lynn (Dan) Borlandelli of Claremore, OK and Kimberly Marie Edelman of Sanford, NC; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and six brothers.
Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
