Marie "Jean" Seward of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed peacefully at her home, June 3, 2024, at the age of 92, just 10 days shy of her 93rd birthday. She was born June 13, 1931, in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of George and Florence LeBlanc Harrigan. She married her best friend, John F. "Jack" Seward, Jr., on August 9, 1952, in Newark, New Jersey. The couple lived in Mountain Home since moving from Oakhurst, New Jersey, in 1990. Jean cared for the home and raised their six children. She was a talented seamstress and took great pride in her knitting projects. She enjoyed displaying her extensive collection of Annalee dolls for each holiday, tending to her flower gardens, and sharing a glass of wine with friends and family. Jean loved the Lord and was a true prayer warrior, there is no doubt she is rejoicing in her Heavenly Home.
Jean is survived by her children, John F. (Dee) Seward, III, Pat (Anna) Seward, Karen (Mark) Holtgrefe, Joy (Dave) Vastano, Maureen (Mariano Carreno) Seward, and Colleen (Mark) Price; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Ursula and Fred. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years; parents; sister, Helen Gracier; and brother, Raymond Harrigan.
