Jeannette B. Duhs died Sunday, June 1, 2008 in Lakeview at the age of 75. She was born Saturday, September 17, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Henrietta Drewing Prescher. She married Ronald Duhs on November 2, 1952 at Springfield, Illinois and worked as a bookkeeper for a tackle shop. Jeannette lived in Lakeview since 1982 moving from Pawnee, Illinois. She enjoyed being a multimedia artist, a military wife following her husband's career for 20 years, being a mother and homemaker, traveling and visited all 50 states. She enjoyed gardening and was devoted to the church. She did not die, but graduated to Heaven. Survivors: Jeannette Duhs is survived by her husband, Ronald Duhs and 2 sons, Ronald (Kay) Duhs of Sumterville, FL and David (Sherry) Duhs of Virden, IL, 1 daughter, Gail (Jim) Austin of Pawnee, IL, 2 grandchildren, Cory and Kalen and 1 brother, Gerald Prescher of Springfield, IL Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral: A graveside memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Jerrel Venable officiating.
