Jeb DeHanas

Jeb DeHanas,52, died at his home in Mountain Home, AR on Friday January 18th 2008. Jeb DeHanas was born February 26, 1955 at Miami, Oklahoma to Jess and Idros Coffman DeHanas. For most of his life Jeb resided in Ottawa County. Jeb had recently retired from NEO A&M, where he had taught math and electronics for almost 25 years. Jeb was a graduate of Oklahoma State Tech, Okmulgee, NEO A&M. Miami, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, and had completed his Master's degree at Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas. Jeb graduated with honors from all these institutions. He was the outstanding graduate of his Oklahoma State Tech.Class. Jeb was active in the Ottawa County Civil Defense, storm spotters, and HAM radio clubs. He enjoyed fixing old equipment from tractors to microwaves, and spent some of his happiest times with friends digging for "treasure" in salvage yards. As an excellent marksman he also enjoyed target shooting, and small game hunting. Survivors: sister - Mary Michael, Mountain Home, a nephew Jeff Marshall, his aunt Mary Lou Works and numerous cousins and a countless host of friends. Preceded in Death by: parents, 2 brothers Funeral: a Memorial Service for Jeb at 2pm Saturday January 26 at the Ottawa Tribal building located at the Ottawa Cemetery east of Miami.
