Jennie Lee Fears

A Funeral Service for Jennie Lee Fears of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, March 11, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Wirt McKee officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 2016, from 5-8pm at the funeral home.

Jennie passed away March 5, 2016, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 85. She was born December 20, 1930, in Baxter County, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Anas Reed. She married Clarence Fears on October 31, 1948, and worked as a hairdresser into her 70's. Jennie was a very loving mother and hard worker. Her family moved to Monkey Run in the 1860's and she was known to be a very generous person.

Jennie is survived by her two sons, Larry Fears of Monkey Run, AR, and Ronnie (Regina) Fears of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Karen Highley of Helena, MT; nine grandchildren, Nichole (Brady) McKee of Mountain Home, AR, Lucas Fears of Omaha, NB, Misty (Jeremiah) Barnett of San Diego, CA, Tracy (Aaron) Coppock of Colorado Springs, CO, Aaron (Amy) Broderick of Gainsville, MO, Cathy (David) McNair of Cotter, AR, Myra (Mitch) Smithy of Mountain Home, AR, Jonathan Fears of Clinton, AR, and Stephen Fears of Van Buren, AR; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Darrell Fears; two brothers and two sisters.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Lucas Fears, Aaron Broderick, Brady McKee, John Anderson, John Wallk and Mitch Smithy as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.
