Jesse Wallace

December 25, 1907 — April 10, 2006

Jesse Moore Wallace was born December 25, 1907, in Livingston Creek, Arkansas. He was the son of Arthur and Mary Sullivan Wallace. He married Euna Rose Watley, August 17, 1937, in Olathe, Kansas. He was a steel worker for Armco Steel and an aircraft worker for North American Aviation three years during World War II. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since moving from Kansas City, Missouri, in 1971. Mr. Wallace was Chairman of the Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225 F&AM; Master and lifetime member of Sheffield Lodge #625 F&AM in Kansas City, Missouri; member of Missouri and Arkansas Old Time Fiddlers Association; and member of the Society For Preservation of Blue Grass Music Association. He was also a member of Royal Arch Masons, the Missouri Lodge of Research, and a recipient of the Pillars of Solomon Award by the Grand Lodge of Arkansas. He was a member of Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Jesse Moore Wallace passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center, April 10, 2006, at the age of 98 years, 3 months and 15 days. Survivors: One son, Jesse Loren (Erma) Wallace of Roach, Missouri; two daughters, Nell (Rock) Engeler of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Reverend Nancy E. (David) Carle of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; sister, Nellie Hall of Mountain View, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Kim (Steve) Wood of Waldorf, Maryland, James R. Sullivan IV of Independence, Missouri, Ellen (Fred) Rainey of Springdale, Arkansas, Bobby (Sarah) Engeler-Young of Conway, Arkansas, Loren Carle of Montreal, Canada and Jonathan Carle of New York, New York; seven great-grandchildren, Julius, Benjamin, Emily and Samuel Rainey, James R. Sullivan V, Zelda Mars Engeler-Young, and Charles Wallace Wood; and several nieces and nephews, including Hazel Alexander, Ernest McGowan, Jesse McGowan, Jeff McGowan, Carol Whitehead, Paul McGowan, Glenn Wallace, Oleva "Tommie" Ivy, Boyce "Pete" Benbrook, Billy Joe Wallace, Mary Ann Whitaker, Ray Wallace, Gary Wallace, Mary Ridgley, William "Buddy" Allen, Ruby Jackson, and James WatleyIone Lloyd, Ralph Watley, Dennis Watley and Glen Reed, Ione Lloyd, Ralph Watley, Dennis Watley and Glen Reed Preceded in Death by: His parents, wife, three brothers and two sisters Visitation: Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225 F&AM will officiate. Funeral: Funeral services for Jesse Moore Wallace, 98, of Mountain Home will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Carl Cook officiating.
