Jimmy Dial

Jimmy D. Dial Sr. was born January 22, 1934, at Union City, Tennessee, to Bill and Christine Jones Dial. He married Dorothy Alford on March 2, 1958, at Union City, Tennessee. He was an Army veteran and a special agent for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. Mr. Dial lived in Mountain Home since moving from Granite City, Illinois, in 1976. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His work became his hobby as he taught his children about gun safety while teaching them to hunt and fish. He was a member of Ozark VFW Post #3246 and a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church. Mr. Dial died Sunday, August 27 at Hospice House. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Mountain Home; three sons, Jim Dial of Mountain Home; Tim (Charlotte) Dial of Flower Mound, Texas; Kenny (Linda) Dial of Harrison, Arkansas; and five grandchildren, Valerie, Alicia, Ashley, Jason and Josh. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Kirby-Boaz. Funeral: Funeral services for Jimmy D. Dial Sr., 72, of Mountain Home will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Moon officiating. Military honors will be by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with honor guard by Ozark VFW Post #3246.
