Joan Adams

Services will be private for Joan L. Adams of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Joan passed away February 9, 2013, in Mountain Home at the age of 79. She was born December 17, 1933, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Verne and Dorothy Clore. She married Melvin Adams March 25, 1950, at Rockville, Indiana. They moved to Santa Barbara, CA in June of 1957, where they remained until retirement to Mountain Home in February of 1987. She was a bookkeeper for 26 years. She enjoyed numerous activities throughout her life, but enjoyed her bingo the most. She was also partial to crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Joan is survived by her daughter Judy Meadors of Mountain Home, AR, son Melvin Adams of Mountain Home, AR, two grandchildren, Robert (Shannan) Bray, and Angela (Alvin) Summers, great-grandchild, Corey (Kassandra) Summers of all Bastrop, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin E. Adams, sisters, Mary and Joyce and brother, Jack Clore. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
