Joan Gail Sanford was born March 27, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the daughter of George and Lila Richardson Cook. She moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1979, from West Memphis, Tennessee. Joan was employed with the Steak House Restaurant. She was a Baptist. Joan Gail Sanford passed away at her residence on September 10, 2005, at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 13 days. Survivors: Three daughters, Cindy Burg (Alec) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Veronica "Roni" Sanford of Chicago Heights, Illinois and Kimberly Rogers (Kevin Donaldson) of Flippin, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Dakota Melton, Lexus Rogers, Hannah Gail Pfeifer, Colin James Morrisey and Nicole Burg; father, George Cook (Ola) of Carericrow, Louisana; step-father, John Grigsby of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers, Andy and Sam Cook of Indiana; seven sisters, Becky Collins (Johnny) of Vincennes, Indiana, Jenny Morris (Bobby), Susan Thomas, and Johnnie Looney (Larry) all of West Memphis, Arkansas; and Lori Amerikanos, Janet Walls and Amy Heinlein all of Indiana; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Linda and Shawn Alexander (Kevin), Rachel Queary, Denise Lane, Vicki Lonon, and Larry Watson; and all her friends and family at the Steak House Preceded in Death by: Her mother, Lila Grigsby and one brother, Joe Cook Funeral: Memorial services for Joan Gail Sanford of Mountain Home will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Chris Tilton officiating.
