JoAnn James

JoAnn James of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away September 22, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 82. She was born October 7, 1941, in Belvidere, Illinois, the daughter of David and Adeline London McKee. She married Robert "Bob" George James on December 30, 1961, in Marengo, Illinois. The couple lived in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin for over 30 years and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1997. JoAnn worked at Mutual of New York for many years and was Employee of the Year in 1988. She was a member of Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Elk's Ladies, and Alley-White American Legion Auxiliary Post #52. JoAnn was a dedicated volunteer at Baxter Health for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering, travel, and spending time with her family and friends.

JoAnn is survived by her son, Brian C. (Nancy) James of Bentonville, AR; daughter, Rita J. Novotney of Oconomowoc, WI; brothers, Ronald (Marie) McKee of Marengo, IL, and Charles (Linda) McKee of Marengo, IL; grandchildren, Dylan (Kaitlynn) James, Michael (Sophia) Novotney, Matthew (Samantha) Novotney, and Alex Novotney; and great-granddaughter, Emery Novotney.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years; and her parents.

A Memorial Service for JoAnn will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Dr. Randy Ludwig officiating. Entombment will follow in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baxter Health Foundation, Peitz Cancer Support House, or Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
