Joann Sisney Swanson

A Funeral Service for Joann Sisney Swanson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Tim Jones officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 13, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Joann passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at the age of 77. She was born December 11, 1937, in McCrory, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Bertha Collins Sisney. She was one of 12 children. She could outwork most people throughout her life, even when she was in her seventies. In her younger years she picked cotton; later she worked for many years at the Baxter County Recycling Center. Joann lived in Mountain Home since 1979, moving from Ash Flat, Arkansas.
Joann is survived by her niece, Chris Dobson of Mountain Home, AR; nephew, Eddie Dobson of Brinkley, AR; two sisters, Wanda of Heber Springs, AR and Ann Wilson of Devalls Bluff, AR and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Donald Dobson.
Burial will be in the Agnos Cemetery, Agnos, Arkansas with Shane Dobson and Eddie Dobson as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Twin Rivers Living Facility, 201 Dodd St., Mountain Home, AR 72653.
