JoAnne Gumm died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 61. She was born Tuesday, June 3, 1947 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Paul N. and Lois E. Schnably Davis . She married Max D. Gumm on November 2, 1985 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. She received a Masters Degree in Health Education from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. JoAnne worked in Medical Records for Hospice of the Ozarks and lived in Mountain Home for 7 years moving from Papillion, Nebraska. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and church activities. Survivors: JoAnne Gumm is survived by her husband, Max D. Gumm and 5 sons, James (Sabrina) Howry of Snellville, GA, Doug (Diane) Gumm, Tim (Carol) Gumm, both of Ankeny, IA, Alan (Gayle) Gumm of Mt. Pleasant, MI and Jeff (Sharon) Gumm of Clive, Iowa, 3 daughters, Susan Howry of Omaha, NE, Cindy Laster of Blue Springs, MO and Mary (Habib) Issah of Iowa City, IA, parents, Paul and Lois Davis of Mountain Home, AR, 1 sister, Carol Davis of Perry, OK, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew. Funeral: Memorial services for JoAnne Gumm of Mountain Home, AR, will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2009 at First Christian Church, with Pastor Roger Schrock and Pastor Ron Rector officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, Iowa. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.
