John Ayers

John Darrell Ayers was born February 5, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan son of Pryor and Lenore Belcher Ayers. He worked as a Homicide Officer in Detroit, Michigan for 2 years and 15 years for the City of Mountain Home. He served as mayor of Mountain Home from 1991 - 1995 . John had lived in the Mountain Home area since 1981 after moving from Detroit. He passed away May 15, 2009 at Mountain Home at the age of 57 years, 3 months and 14 days. Survivors: He is survived by Fiance, Sally Lanham and her daughers Katie, Jamie and Amanda of Mountain Home; his mother: Lenore Ayers of Westland, Michigan, His son, Joshua (Julia) Ayers of St. Peter's, Missouri, 2 Daughters, Rachel (Nathan) Farris of Clarkridge, Arkansas and Sarah Rook of Centerton, Arkansas; 3 Grandchildren, Eli and Brynley Ayers and Addison Farris; 2 Brothers, Tim (Mary) Ayers and Dean (Chris) Ayers and 1 Sister, Paula (Chuck) Bates all of Westland, Michigan. Preceded in Death by: his father and a brother, Paul. Funeral: Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel , with Reverend Doug Huskey officiating. Burial: Entombment will be in Kirby's Tucker Mausoleum.
