John "Mike" Brumitt

A Graveside Service for John Michael "Mike" Brumitt of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:30 pm, Friday, May 9, 2014, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Reverend Gary Wise officiating. Dan Ward, Alan Direen and Michael Direen will be honorary pallbearers. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, prior to the service.

Mike passed away May 4, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 63. He was born October 18, 1950, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the son of John and Nancy Dyer Brumitt. Mike was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a multi-line insurance claims adjuster for Fireman's Fund Insurance which led to owning his own business, Frontier Adjusters of Mountain Home. Mike lived in Mountain Home since 1994, moving from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He enjoyed photography, boating, water skiing, and playing the guitar.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Amy (Dan) Ward of Jonesboro, AR; friend and former spouse, Debbie Brumitt of Jonesboro, AR and three sisters, Betty Moyers, Nancy Deckard and Judy Bourland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale Allen Brumitt and sister, Kerry Lynn Kelley.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
