John Warren Clayton was born on August 1,1943 in Virginia. He was the son of Warren and Hester Clayton. He married Mary Standefer on February 8, 1996 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Mr. Clayton served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war and worked for the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. He attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colorado and was a police officer for the city of Baltimore, Maryland until he retired. Mr. Clayton enjoyed fishing, guns, exploring the Colorado Rockies and baseball. . . especially the Baltimore Orioles. He sang and played guitar. He moved from Grand Junction, Colorado to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 2002. He was a member of the Baptist church. John Warren Clayton passed away on January 3, 2005 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 2 days.
