John Criss

A Funeral Service for John Mirl Criss of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mike Howell officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. John passed away November 9, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 85. He was born November 18, 1926, in Crystal City, Missouri, the son of John and Theresa Roderique Criss. He worked as an accountant for Peabody Coal Company. John was also a security guard. John was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Mountain Home. He enjoyed sports. John is survived by his sister, Alta Myers Pullen of Mountain Home, AR, two brothers, Ronald L. Criss and Joseph N. Criss, both of Bella Vista, AR, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Lois Morefield. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, Illinois, on Friday, November 16, 2012, under the direction of Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, or First Assembly of God Church Missions Program. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
