John Jones

Services for John J. Jones, 62, of Mountain Home will be private. Mr. Jones died November 16, 2006, at St. Louis, Missouri. John J. Jones was born January 25, 1944, to Dean and Ida Theriot Jones. He married Marne Kauppi on May 29, 1965, at Reno, Nevada. He was a Baxter County Deputy Sheriff and an Army veteran. Mr. Jones was a master pipefitter in California before moving to Mountain Home in 1988. He was an expert gun craftsman and shooter. He was of Protestant faith. He is survived by his wife, Marne Jones of Mountain Home; one daughter, Melissa Jones of Texas; mother Ida Jones of Mountain Home; and one brother, James A. DeGraff of California.
