A Family Graveside for John Edward Lee of Cotter, Arkansas, will be 3:30 pm, Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 1:00 until 3:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
John passed away October 1, 2017, in Cotter, Arkansas at the age of 90. He was born September 16, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Grant and Hazel Duncan Lee. He married Vivian McNair on December 31, 1950, and worked in engineering and construction. John was a U.S. veteran of the Merchant Marines and United States Army. John lived in Cotter since 2004, moving from Anchorage, Alaska. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
John is survived by his wife, Vivian Lee of Cotter, AR; daughter, Colleen Estep of Gassville, AR; two sons, Kelly Grant (Debbie) Lee of Eden Prairie, MN and Bryan (Susie) Lee of Soldotna, AK; seven grandchildren, Sandy (Keith) Hanley and their children Christian and Brianna, Shane Cowan and children Leah and Jenna, Jessie Bartchy and daughter Carolyn Nicole, Devon Bartchy and children Robert John and Erica Danielle, Christopher Lee, Naval Flight Officer, Joshua Bryan Lee and Sean Timothy Lee and two brothers, CR "Bob" (Bess) Duncan of Mountain Home, AR and Tommy Duncan of Mountain Home, ID.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnny Lee and brother, Archie MacDonald.
