A Funeral Service for John Toivo Maki of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Roy Crane officiating.
John passed away November 1, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 93. He was born October 31, 1922, in Ironwood, Michigan, the son of Martin and Lydia Samson Maki. He married Helen Kronberg on June 5th. 1948 at Wakefield, Michigan and was a Forestry Technician for the State of Michigan. John lived in Mountain Home for 35 years moving from Michigan's upper peninsula.
John is survived by his wife, Helen Maki of Mountain Home, AR and two sons, Martin Maki of Mountain Home, AR and Robert Paul (Jho) Maki of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
