John Morrison

Services for John D. Morrison, 75, of Summit will be private. Mr. Morrison died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at Mountain Home. John D. Morrison was born March 18, 1931, at Norphlet, Arkansas, to Charlie and Amy McMain Morrison. He married Evelyn Hoselton on November 8, 1952, at Yuma, Arizona. He was a signal engineer who worked at Entergy for 23 years. Mr. Morrison was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He lived in Summit since moving from Pine Bluff in 1992. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Morrison of Summit; one daughter, Linda (Dan) Pitts of Bartlett, Tennessee; one son, Michael (Christie) Morrison of Burleson, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or your charity of choice.
