John Nutter

Funeral Services for John Warren Nutter, 72, of Flippin, AR will be 10AM Monday October 8, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Flippin with Brother Steve Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 3-5PM Sunday October 9, 2011, at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home-Bull Shoals. John went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

John was born January 19, 1939, in Reynoldsville, WV to John and Sylvia Wade Nutter. John served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as an electrician at the University of Nevada in Reno before retiring to Flippin in 1983. John could be seen driving around town in one of several Model A vehicles he owned. He was a member of the Rusty Wheel Old Engine Club out of Harrison, AR and had a love of gospel music. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Flippin where he served as a deacon.

John is survived by his son, Harold Ray ?Hal? Nutter of Palm Springs, CA; brother, Fred Nutter (Betty) of Reno, NV; brother in law, Bill Canary of Flippin, AR; honorary daughter, Debra Sternes (James) of Sparks, NV and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Glenna Canary Nutter and two brothers, Harold and Don Nutter.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Flippin. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with pallbearers Dwayne Burris, Steve Farris, Joe Livingston, Orville Mears, David Wallace, Don Weatherford, and Max Wilkins. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Adams, Tom Bullard and Mickey Jones.
