John passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Twin Lakes Nursing Center. He was born March 2, 1919, in Searcy, Arkansas, the son of John Orville and Ada Pickens Reed. He married Alice Maas and worked as a Diesel Mechanic as a civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force. John Reed was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. John lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for 9 years moving from Searcy, Arkansas.
John is survived by his 3 brothers, Glenn (Faye) Reed of Batesville, AR, Howard (Jeanette) Reed of Searcy, AR and Carroll Reed of Waukasha, WI; 1 sister, Patty Chapman of Florissant, CO and 1 stepson, Jerry Burmeister of Kenosha, WI
He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Alice and his parents.
