Funeral services for John E. "Jackie" Repp will be Wednesday March 6, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Mountain Home Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Cunningham and Bishop Sam Seamans officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday March 5 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home. John (Jackie) E. Repp, age 65, of Mountain Home, AR passed away on March 2, 2013 at his home. He was born October 8, 1947 at Manhattan, Kansas to Floyd and Marjorie (Lippincott) Repp. John was a graduate of Highland Park High School, Topeka, KS. He graduated from the Community College of the Air Force and received his Associate Degree in Science from Allen County Community College. He married Charlotte Sanderson on December 16. 1995 at Ottawa, KS. John served in the U.S. Army in the 1st Air Cavalry Division for the Republic of Vietnam War in 1966-1968. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1970 until his retirement in 1992. In the military, John was a Logistics Plans Specialist. He received the Metitorious Service Medal, 2 Air Medals, 3 Air Force Commendation Medals, 7 Air Force Good Conduct Medals, 2 National Defense Service Medals for his service in the Vietnam War and Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbons, two Air Force Long Tour Ribbons, 5 Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbons, and 2 NCO Professional Military Education Graduation Ribbons from the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medals. John was a Merchant Guard in Topeka, KS. from 1995-2004. After moving to the Mountain Home area, John was employed at Arkansas State University from 2004-2009. John is survived by his wife, Charlotte of the home; a daughter Nicole (Shane) Songer of Covdova, AK; a son, Tony Repp of Surprise, AZ; a step-son Anthony Sanderson (Melinda Coleman) of Mountain Home, AR; three sisters, Donna (John) Sams of Topeka, KS; Mary Kay (Scott) Dugan of Wakarusa, KS and Judy (Randy) Meek of Silverhill, AL; sister-in-law, Dianna Owen (Mike Coots) and six grandchildren, Sierra, MaKayla, and Zack of Covdova, AK and Derek, Mialci, and Alex of Surprise, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. John is also survived by his special dog, Stitch who was his constant companion. John is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Repp. Military honors will be provided by U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. Mountain Home, Arkansas honorary pallbearers will be Michael Murray and the members of John's Supper Club: Rex and Becky Mizner; Hugo and Marilyn Gonzales' Betty and Steve Becker; and Chris and Sharon Kluver. Topeka, Kansas honorary pallbearers will be Terry Repp, Troy Repp, Tyson Repp, Joseph Sams, Brett Grace, Bryan Grace, Eddy Meek, Jordan Meek, Brian Coots, Jeremy Bledsoe and Dalton Bledsoe. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, 801 SW Westchester Road in Topeka, Kansas Friday March 8, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR. John and his neighbor Sharon Kluver were well known for the annual meals they prepared for Celebration of Life Luncheons for Hospice of the Ozarks.
