John Seward

John F. "Jack" Seward Jr., passed away peacefully at home on the 13th of December 2009. He was a 19 year resident of Mountain Home, having retired here from NJ. He was a paratrooper in the US Army and served in post-war Japan. He was a retired member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Union, Local 32 of Newark, NJ and Bendix Aerospace of Eatontown, NJ. He was a former member and officer in the Oakhurst Volunteer Fire Company and its Exempt Association and a local Boy Scout Leader.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marie (Jean) Seward, his sons John and Patrick of Ocean Township, NJ, his daughters Karen Holtgrefe of Cincinnati, OH, Joy Vastano of Maryville, TN, Maureen Seward of Aurora, IL and Colleen Price of Clermont, FL, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his brother Robert J. Seward of Vero Beach, FL.

He will be interred at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home. Donations in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
