John W. Shaffer was born November 19, 1915 in Boone, Iowa. He was the son of Tobias and Elsie Stiffler Shaffer. He married Hazel Dillon on January 9, 1946 in Webster City, Iowa. He was a fabricator for Martin-Marietta and lived in Boone, Iowa prior to moving to Lakeview, Arkansas in 1999. Mr. Shaffer was a United State Army Veteran of WW II. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. John W. Shaffer passed away at his residence on April 16, 2005, at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 27 days Survivors: Wife, Hazel Shaffer of Lakeview, Arkansas; three daughters, Diane Anjulo of Gassville, Arkansas, Jacqueline Coffman of Squaw Valley, California, and Janet Quarnstrom of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, John W.
