Services for John Calvin Skinner of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be private.
John passed away December 28, 2017, with family by his side in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75. He was born August 22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John Calvin and Anne "Betty" Arlanskas Skinner. John served his country in the United States Air Force as an aircraft machinist and then worked for Vickers Inc. for over thirty years as a hydraulic mechanic. He married La Donna "Dee" on April 25, 1987, in Omaha, NE at the birthplace of President Gerald Ford. John retired to Bull Shoals in 2002 and was active in the Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts, a member of the Bull Shoals Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, and helped with the Little Bit Used Thrift Shop. He enjoyed bowling, boating, fishing and taking walks.
John is survived by his wife, La Donna "Dee" Skinner of Bull Shoals, AR; son, Bill (Alyssa) Morrow of Omaha, NE; son, Jeff (Crystal) Morrow of Morganton, NC; sister, Jean Reidy of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Tristan, Ella, Zackary; and brother-in-law, Ted Carter of Bull Shoals, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Little Bit Used Shop in Bull Shoals or Hospice of the Ozarks.
