John Stark

John Stark was born on September 8, 1926 in East Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Joseph and Julianna Bartosz Stark. John Stark married Doreen Green on May 28, 1994 in Flippin, Arkansas. Mr. Stark moved from Mountain Home to Flippin in 2000. John Stark served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a car inspector foreman with the railroad. Mr. Stark enjoyed fishing, music and cars. John Stark passed away on December 28, 2004 at his residence in Flippin at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 20 days. Survivors: Wife of 10 years, Doreen Stark; three sons, John (Sandy) Stark of Collinsville, Illinois, Norman (Marilyn) Stark of Priest River, Idaho, and Charles (Mary) Stark of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one brother, one sister, twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; stepson Mark (Vanesa) Roberts of Flippin, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Carla (Glenn) Chamberlain of Flippin and Lori Thorne of Yellville, Arkansas Preceded in Death by: His parents, first wife Rosemary, and several brothers and sisters Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Riverside Church of Christ in Gassville, Arkansas. Mr. James Henderson will officiate. Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas
