Visitation for John "Big John" Wahler of Flippin, Arkansas, will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel - Bull Shoals.
John died Friday, April 8, 2011 at Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 55. He was born August 17, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Oscar A. and Fay Downey Annis. He married Bobbie Davis on February 23, 1985 at Ridgeway, Arkansas and worked as a river fishing guide. John lived in Flippin, Arkansas since 1970 moving from Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife, Bobbie of the home; 2 sons, Jace Wahler, of Mountain Home, AR and Adam Wahler of Green Bay, WI; daughter, Lira Drewey of Hurley, MO; 3 step-daughters, Sonya Knight of Springdale, AR, Lori Davis of Green Forest, AR and Mandy Myers of Edwards, MO; 2 sisters, Cheryl Handly of Leeton, MO and Rhonda Worley of Leeton, MO; 2 brothers, Jay Annis of Leeton, MO and Roger Wahler of Salt Lake City, UT; mother, Fay Annis of Leeton, MO, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
