Johnnie E. Lantz

Johnnie E. Lantz, 88 Years, passed away on June 10th at his home in Bryant, Arkansas at the age of 88 years old. Johnnie was born on February 11, 1935, in Rush, Arkansas, to Jesse E and Cuby Harrington Lantz. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, ginseng and mushroom hunting, gardening, and playing music. He avidly read the Bible. He worked many years in the timber industry and construction. He retired after 23 years working at Baxter Lab.

He served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany from 1958-1960. Johnnie married Janice Payne on August 6, 1964 in Lone Rock, Arkansas and enjoyed 58 wonderful years together. Johnnie is survived by his wife, Janice Lantz; two sons, Johnnie Alan (Amanda) Lantz of Bella Vista, AR, and Bradley Mark (Shawnda) Lantz of Bryant, AR; brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Lantz of St Charles, MO; sister, Joyce Havner of Mountain Home, AR; niece, Kim Havner Pace of Mountain Home, AR; many nieces and nephews, as well as six grandchildren, Brendon Lantz, Jason (Laura) Lantz, Abigail Lantz, Ethan Lantz, Tabitha Lantz and Logan Lantz.

He is preceded in death by parents, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, and one niece.

There will be a remembrance of life luncheon on June 24, 2023 at 11:00 am. Due to the heat, the service will take place at the family's log cabin, 849, CR 108, Norfork, Arkansas 72658. In lieu of flowers bring your memories and stories of Johnnie and come celebrate his life with family and friends.
