A Celebration of Life for Jonathan "Jon" Vincent Vincent of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be 2PM Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, AR with Heather Marsalis as Celebrant.
Jon passed away October 28, 2018, in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 73. He was born June 23, 1945, in Seaburn, England, the son of John and Jean Elizabeth Colston. He married Lynn Smith on August 2nd in 1969, and worked as a Ship's Captain for 43 years. Jon lived in Bull Shoals since moving from Clear Lake, Texas in 2002. Jon loved anything to do with the water and enjoyed fly fishing, fly tying, rod building, building model boats, airplanes, and many other hobbies that involved nature. Jon was often referred to as the "Captain" by fellow White River fly fisherman.
Jon is survived by his wife, Lynn Vincent of Bull Shoals, AR; sons, David J. Vincent and Richard D. (Jennifer) Vincent of League City, TX; father, John (Joan) of Brisbane, Australia; brother, Symon Colston of Sunderland, England and grandchildren, Sydney L. Vincent, and Jacob D. Vincent of League City, TX.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Memorials may be made to the Bull Shoals-Lakeview Rotary Club Foundation.
