Joseph G. Beasley was born July 4, 1924 in Gary, Indiana. He was the son of Joseph Reed and Ida Mae Moore Beasley. He was a retired ironworker and a United States Navy World War II Veteran. He lived in Hobart, Indiana prior to moving to Gassville, Arkansas in 1978. He enjoyed singing and playing music, fishing, directing the church choir, and studying the Bible. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Joseph G. Beasley passed away at his residence on July 9, 2005, at the age of 81 years, and 5 days. Survivors: Two daughters, June Alice (Timm) Wagner of Spooner, Wisconsin, and Shirlie (John) Lash of Portage, Indiana; one sister, Reeda Lane of Rinard, Illinois; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and close friends, Ricky and Linda Dye of Gassville, Arkansas Preceded in Death by: Parents; wife, Shirley; one brother and two sons, Denis and John Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lee Nirschl officiating Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery; Military Services will be provided by North Central Arkansas Veterans Council, and Honor Guard by Alley-White American Legion Post #52.
