Joseph died Saturday, January 16, 2010 in Norfork at the age of 73.
He was born Sunday, February 9, 1936 in Ava, Missouri, the son of James and Ruby Catchings Cameron. He had an interesting life; was a U.S. Navy veteran, a character actor in several films during the 70's including "Rafferty and the Gold Dust Twins" with Alan Arkin, a slot machine technician in Las Vegas, and worked as a mechanic in Arizona. He had been a resident of the Old Joe area since 1995, moving from Apache Junction, Arizona.
Joseph Cameron is survived by his 2 sons, Joseph ( Sandy) Cameron and Cordell Cameron, both of Texas; grandchildren Jennifer Lynn, Krista Lee, and Ryan Joseph Cameron; and Cordell James Cameron II; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Laura Faye Carter of Oregon; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends and neighbors, James and Stella Gaye Loosey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise; and daughter, Sandy.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
