Funeral services for Joseph W. Greenslade of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Jim Greenslade, speaker.
Joe died Saturday, December 10, 2011, at White River Healthcare, Calico Rock, AR, at the age of 89. He was born November 14, 1922, in Mineral Wells, Mississippi, the son of John Thomas and Clyde Eudell Berry Greenslade. He married Marjorie Doyle Sanders on October 21, 1943. Joseph Greenslade was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1985, moving from Memphis, Tennessee. He was a member of the Three Rivers Church in Gamaliel.
Joe is survived by one son, Jim (Judy) Greenslade, of Mountain Home, AR; two daughters, Virginia (Robert) Elam of Mountain Home, AR and Joyce (Dean Jr.) Hudson, of Calico Rock, AR and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Three Rivers Church in Gamaliel, or to the Mountain Home Christian Clinic.
