Joseph "Joe" Francis Montgomery

A Funeral Mass for Joseph Francis "Joe" Montgomery of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 15, 2016, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Rappold as Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Joseph passed away April 10, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 85. He was born March 2, 1931, in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Charles and Florence Kinsella Montgomery. Joseph was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He married Frances Sebilsky on April 6, 1973, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa and worked as a service technician for Patterson Dental Supply. Joseph lived in Mountain Home for 29 years, moving from Jackson, Mississippi. He was a member of St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Frances Montgomery of Mountain Home, AR; brother, James (Vivian) Montgomery of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Charles (Denise) Montgomery of Naperville, IL, parents of four grandchildren, Daniel (Melanie), Drew (Kirsten), Tyler and Morgan Montgomery; one great-grandchild, Abigail Montgomery; many other special nieces and nephews and his dogs, Josie and Lucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Daniel, Drew, Tyler and Morgan Montgomery as pallbearers. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church Building Fund.
